Crazy Comics – After schools programme

Crazy Comics was an 8-week course in comic book illustration that happened every Wednesday after school in the Artlink basement studio. Children were taught the basics elements of creating comic book characters and story-boards. They illustrated their drawings on paper before learning how to transfer and edit their designs on the computer. The result was their very own comic.

The basic element behind all the young peoples workshops is the inclusion of digital media in the ever-changing digital world. We try to incorporate digital media into all our workshops as it’s a major part of the young peoples lives and so its important we embrace it in the visual art world.

Participants: 15 Children, 7 – 12 year olds
Facilitator: Freelance illustrator Barry Falls
Assistant: Artlink Education & Outreach Officer
